Winn Dixie Makes Last Minute Holiday Dinner Prep a Snap!! #WDLocalHoliday

One of the things I was most excited about when we moved back to Florida in February was that I would be able to shop at Winn Dixie again. I have always been a huge fan of Winn Dixie because of their awesome deals each week. More than once there weekly specials have let me make a small grocery budget go farther than I thought it could. So one of the first things I did when I moved back was to check out the weekly flyer on their website and the head to my local Winn Dixie and stock up the new house with groceries. Well with the holidays upon us, I find myself at the grocery store more then normal as I am sure you are too.

Don’t you love when you husband comes home and tell you that you he forgot that you have to go to a dinner party a bring a dish…. TONIGHT!!! Yeah me too! LOL Or Forget about a Christmas party that you had already RSVP’d to but didn’t write down in your calendar!! That was me this past week. Thank goodness my local Winn Dixie is literally less than 5 miles away!! If you are in one of these situations this holiday season and get stumped for ideas you can check out Holiday Recipes to Impress e-book, which is full of great ideas for holidays dishes. You can also submit your own holiday recipe for a chance to be featured in the Holiday Recipes to Impress e-cookbook being featured on the Winn-Dixie Facebook page.

So this past Thursday was my Women’s Bible Study Christmas Party. With everything that had been going on since Thanksgiving I truly had forgotten about it. Thankfully my best friend Donna, texted me at lunchtime and said ” Are you going tonight to the Bible Study Christmas Party?”. LOL For a split second I was like, ” Lord help me what am I going to bring?”. Then I remembered my fabulous quick and easy dip that everyone always raves about, so off to Winn Dixie I went.

My dip consists of 3 ingredients. It is super simple and easy but taste AMAZING!!! All you need in 2 bricks of cream cheese at room temperature, 2 cans of canned chili ( you can use any brand or style. I use Hormel Turkey Chili for mine.) and a 1 pound package of cheddar cheese (again, you can use a blend of any cheese that you like). If you are in a hurry, like I am usually when I make this dish, you can unwrap the cream cheese bricks and put them on a plate and microwave them for a minute to soften them. Then you spread out the cream cheese on the bottom of an ungreased 9 X 13 dish. Top that with the 2 cans of chili. Finally sprinkle the entire package of cheese on top! Cover the dish with foil and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. You serve it with you favorite chips and everyone will LOVE you I promise!!! Below is my dip with all the other wonderful dishes that the ladies brought (Mine is the glass dish to the left of the bread dip wreath)!
