I was given complimentary tickets to the WWE Battleground PPV from WWE. All thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own!
Last weekend my family and I had the pleasure of attending the WWE Battleground PPV here in Tampa. We have been to WWE events before but I have to say this one was the best by far. If you watched it on the WWE Network or ordered in through your cable provider, I am pretty sure you probably thought the same thing. In case you didn’t here are the highlights from the night.
WWE Battleground Highlights
The first match that actually occurred was between Naomi and Cameron from WWE Divas. This match was before the actual taping of Battleground. It was a great match which, from seeing the other Divas matches, was pretty impressive. I really think the Divas are doing a great job. The winner of the match was Cameron. Although I have to say I am totally #TeamNaomi!!!
The next match was for the Tag Team belts and was the Usos vs. the Wyatts. This match had lots of action as it was 2 out 3 falls match. In the end I was pretty darn happy that #TeamUso came out the victors!!!
Next was another Divas match with AJ Lee and Paige for the WWE Divas Title. Paige had the upper hand for the better part of this match. For a newbie I have to say she has been trained well. In the end though AJ was able to pull out the win to keep her WWE Divas Title!.
Up after that was Jack Swagger vs Rusev. I have to give it to Jack Swagger he has come a long way since his debut in the WWE. During the match he had Rusev in an ankle lock for a pretty long time. I thought for sure he was going to win but in the end Rusev came back for the win.
One of the coolest parts of WWE Battleground was when Bray Wyatt entered the arena. It me back to my teen years when we would lift lighters in the air during concerts. Now instead of lighters there are cellphones with flashlight apps. I have to say it was really beautiful even if I am more of a #TeamJericho member. 🙂 The match between Bray Wyatt and Jericho was another great match. In the end it was Jericho that brought home the win!!!
The Intercontinental Championship Battleground Battle Royal was the next to last match of the night. I was seriously rooting for Sheamus to win the whole time. He came close to the win but out of no where came The Miz. Now I have to say I have been a fan of his since he was on MTV’s The Real World. I was confused as to how he could won until my husband told me he was never through OVER the top rope and in order to be eliminated that is what had to happen. There was so much action during this match that I didn’t even see him slip out of the ring. LOL
The last match of the night was the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match between reigning champ John Cena, Roman Reigns, Kane and Randy Orton. This was an incredible match. It is no secret that I am #TeamCena all day but there were times when I just thought that he was gonna lose for sure. Thankfully he got the cover on Kane to keep the title!! Woot Woot!!
All in all it was an action packed night! If you get a chance to attend a WWE Live event I highly recommend that you go. Don’t forget if you do tweet me at @Makeitallwork using the hashtag #WWEMoms so I can tweet along with ya.:)
