When it comes to back to school shopping something we always do, is get the kids new eye exams. Not only is it good practice to have yearly eye exams but it also allows your growing child the ability to change up their style, if they do wear glasses.
JCPenney Optical Eyeglasses for Kids
My Abbie has had glasses since she was in 1st grade, although she has lost them a few times. Every year we take her in to get her eyes checked and get new glasses. She likes the different styles and loves to try them all on.
My Emma on the other hand has never had glasses but desperately once too. (yes she is weird LOL) I think it is the fact that everyone but her (so far) has glasses. She loves to try on all the frames and even has a pair of “fake” glasses she likes to wear. Well after this years exam the Dr. said she doesn’t need them but is a little and I stress LITTLE bit nearsighted but recommended we not get glasses yet. Apparently children at this age (9), are prone to this and it will sometimes fix itself. So it is another year of wait and see for her.
With both my son Gabe and Abbie needing new glasses this year, not only because they broke theirs last year (don’t even ask how many times Gabe had his replaced UGH) but because both of their prescriptions have changed a little JCPenney Optical is the perfect place to go. Right now until August 31st you can get
- a new pair of kids’ frames up to $120
- FREE impact & scratch resistant polycarbonate lenses
- FREE UV protection
- FREE eyeglass protection plan for any school-aged child 16 & under
for get this….$25. That is a HUGE savings. Even with us having one of the best optical health plans we couldn’t beat this price. We price compared and the closest with all the above was $105.
The selection of glasses at JCPenney optical is fantastic and both Abbie & Gabe were able to find frames they loved. Special note to those with big headed kids,(Yes I said big headed because my husband’s side of the family have big heads LOL), they do allow you to choose from the adult frames for this deal as well. My oldest Gabe was blessed with a huge head, thanks to his father. He was still able to get the frames he wanted from the men’s line.
