How to Create a Beach Look With Mary Kay

Mary Kay Beach Look

This weekend marks the official start of SUMMER!!!! (Yes I am excited.) My favorite thing to do in the summer is hit the beach or the pool. Even though I plan to get wet I still want to look good. (Who doesn’t?) Recently I was sent the #MKGlam Vox Box from Influenster which featured Mary Kay® products. I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of the products in the box. With adding just a few of makeup items I already had I was able to create an super easy beach look that anyone can do.

Beach Look with Mary Kay Steps

Step 1: You need a great foundation. I currently use 2 but the first is Rimmel Stay Matte. You don’t have to use a lot and it gives great coverage. Big thanks to Kristyn from Glamour-Zine for introducing me to it! (Side note: all the pictures in this post are untouched and were taken after the product was applied)

Step 2: I like to apply my Bare Minerals powder foundation over the Stay Matte. It has an SPF of 15 and I like how it blends. You don’t have to do this step if you don’t want. I use Fairly Medium.

Step 3: Eye Shadow. In the #MKGlam box there was the Mary Kay® Creme Eye Color in Apricot Twist. I used that all over my eye lid. Then I used Wisteria Lane and Bone from my Ulta Natural Eyeshadow Quad. I used the Wisteria Lane in the crease and over half my eye lid to create the slightest hint of a nude smokey eye. I used Bone on my brow bone and inner eye crease for highlights.

Step 4: Eyeliner and Mascara. Out of all the products in the #MKGlam box I have to say I have fallen head over heels in LOVE with the Mary Kay® Gel Eyeliner and Mary Kay® Lash Love Mascara. It goes on sooooo easily and last FOREVER. I have slept in it and it still looks fabulous the next day. (I had a cashier the other day, after sleeping in the liner and mascara, say I had the most gorgeous eyes)

Step 5: Bronzer and Blush. When applying bronzer do a 3 on your face on each side. Start at your forehead come around to under your cheek bone then go around to your chin area. Don’t over do it with the brozer though. When applying the blush make a fish face and suck in your cheeks. Apply the blush to your cheek bones. The Brozer should have been applied to the area you sucked in. I used Mary Kay® Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush and Mary Kay® Light Medium Bronzing Powder.

Step 6: Setting Powder & Lip Gloss. The last thing you want to do is set your look. I used  Mary Kay® Translucent Loose Powder. You just apply it all over your face. It’s very light. Lastly to finish the look I applied Mary Kay® NouriShine Plus® Lip Gloss in Mango Tango.
