With school back in session, I am now dealing with the wonderful phrase “Mom I am starving!”. This is a common phrase that I hear, not only everyday after school but also during the weekend. Now anyone that knows my kids, knows that they are far from malnourished and are pretty good snackers. So with this on going struggle it leads me to having to find snack ideas that are healthy, tasty and make everyone happy. Well I now have a solution with Hot Pockets!
With 5 kids it can be soo hard to find a snack that everyone likes. Thanks to Hot Pockets I don’t have to go all over Walmart to make everyone happy anymore. One of the best parts of back to school shopping is all the new varieties of your favorite products that come out. For Hot Pockets they have come out with
I love that you can buy Hot Pockets for breakfast, as well as for back to school snacks and easy lunches. And if that weren’t enough to make you want to run out and buy them, they also have awesome Lean Pockets. These are sooo tasty and have fewer calories and fat. They are great to throw in a lunch box and take to work. My daughter, Mandi, loves to take them to work. She doesn’t always get a lunch if she works less than 6 hours but she does get a 15 minute break. This gives her just enough time to pop a Hot Pocket in the microwave and have a quick snack. On my most recent grocery trip I came home with quite a few different flavors for everyone to try.
Another thing that I love about Hot Pockets is that I can buy the Spinach and 3 Cheese (pictured above) and I can guarantee that they won’t eat them. (My kids aren’t big on eating spinach. :0)) So when I need a snack they haven’t magically disappeared! You can check out some of the other great flavors from my Google+ album here. They have really come up with some rockin flavor combinations. When we go to the store the girls both stake claim to their favorites and make it clear that it is their box.
As a mom of 5 kids, I have also been woken up by the smoke detectors going off because one of the kids has decided to be a chef and cook something without knowing exactly how to make it. (Be honest you have had this happen before too!) Well with Hot Pockets I don’t have to worry about this. Making them is sooo simple.
I thinking the hardest part of the whole process is waiting for them to cook and cool down enough to eat them. Now my kids always remind me to get them when I go to the store (like I would forget since I buy them every week LOL). Thankfully most weeks they are on sale at one store or another and I can price match them at Walmart. So now I have a solution to the never ending problem of “MOM I’m starving!” Check them out for yourself and let me know what you think of all the new flavors and what your favorite is!
